We stayed from 14-19 December 2022. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Yes, the bathroom was a little worn, but that didn’t affect our stay at all. The breakfast was very nice and plenty of it. Being gluten-free could still have breakfast. If it wasn’t out you just had to ask and nothing was a problem for the staff to get it.
All the receptionists are very friendly, welcoming. All the staff went over and above to make your stay comfortable. The General manager, was so lovely and welcoming and friendly as if you were one of her friends( you don’t see that in a big business) that she definitely goes over and above to help you in any way she can, even for us not missing our flight home. Well, done Rydges on the superb team you have on Palmer St Townsville.
We will be back again.

Pulled up out the front after dark with a caravan. Pete gave me a place to park the van for the night off the street. The bed was the most comfortable motel bed I’ve ever slept in and the shower was great. Pete was so helpful and accommodating. Would recommend staying here.
