Fabulous dive day with Steve, Riley, and Matt. Good briefing. Beach launch from Alva Beach. Quick 30 mins transfer to the SS Yongala site. Double dives and back again for a BBQ. Finally got one of my dream things todo Snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef best thing I’ve done in ages my partner loved the different sizes of fish and the colors were wicked the cruise company Quick Silver highly recommends morning tea, big lunch, and afternoon snacks plus snorkeling until they sound the horn plus the glass bottom boat also you can dive but that’s extra same as the Helicopter ride, they also have the diving helmets that you put on and go underwater on the platform for none swimmers while they are standing on the platform they feed the fish. They put food on the helmets and the fish eat off the helmets. IT’S a full day but worth it.

We had two different dives at the Cod Hole, first at Mooring 1 where we spent most of the time in the company of several Potato codes, and the next day at Mooring 2 where we went down Shark Alley and observed several different sharks. Beautiful spot, both for fish, corals, and underwater, landscape! One of the best dives ever!
